New Study finds reduction of risk of Dementia from walking.

A recent study published in JAMA Neurology verifies 10,000 Steps per day has significant benefits. The study published in May 2022 looked at 6.9 years of data from nearly 78,430 people and their walking habits versus risk of all cause Dementia. In a nutshell, the authors concluded that walking at a brisk pace for nearly 10,000 steps may decrease risk of all cause dementia significantly.  Can’t walk 10,000 steps at a time? Don’t worry, as few as 3826 steps also reduced the risk of dementia. Wondering what brisk means?  A cadence of 112 was the observed cadence that produced the best benefits. To access your cadence simply head out for walk with your watch and after 10 minutes of warming up count your steps for 1 minute.
